After you have your trip planned out, or as a remembrance of your trip, select Itinerary from the File menu and a new window similar to the one below opens.  Set some itinerary values in the File Info window.

The itinerary is formatted as a web document, so you can open it in your web browser (usually Safari) by clicking the appropriate button, or save it to disk and open with your browser or a text editor.

If you have the Itinerary window open and you make changes to your trip, update the itinerary by clicking the Refresh button so the itinerary will show your latest changes.

Save the Itinerary as a PDF file.

There are two ways to save the itinerary as a PDF file.  The 2nd is the recommended choice.

1. 1.Click the itinerary Print button, and then use the PDF popup menu.
   

2. 2.Click the Browser button to open the itinerary in Safari. When in Safari, under the File menu, select Export as PDF.  The itinerary has page breaks, and this method utilizes the page breaks when creating the PDF file.

The Itinerary preferences controls what is included on the itinerary.  Click the Prefs button on top of the itinerary window to show the itinerary preferences.  If the driving instructions are disabled it’s because no routes have been downloaded.  Click the Routes button to download the routes and obtain driving instructions.
